A coarse fraction of crushed Alta quartzite with very good drainage, used as a reinforcement layer under roads, yards, driveways and structures where stability and run-off matter. It carries rain and meltwater away from the surface, reducing water build-up, erosion and frost damage, and forms a stable base that prevents the settlement and cracking that changing ground conditions cause.
