Altaskifer

Altaskifer is a Norwegian producer of Alta quartzite slate with long traditions and deep expertise. From Alta in Northern Norway it supplies slate for roofs, facades, floors and outdoor areas — to private homes and large professional projects alike — and works closely with architects, contractors and dealers across Norway, with a focus on quality, documentation and long-term solutions. Alta quartzite is a pure natural material with no additives: exceptionally strong and frost-proof, with a service life of over 100 years and minimal maintenance, and it can be reused or recycled at the end of its life. Several products are made at Altaskifer's Sustainability Centre from quarry surplus that would otherwise go unused. Company: Alta Skiferbrudd SA, Alta, Norway.
